How do I sign up? To sign up hit the ‘sign up’ button on our homepage and follow the simple steps to creating your account. We’ll only need a couple of details. Once your submission has been approved (we’re usually very quick with this), you’ll be added to our network and can begin creating your full profile.
What does it cost me? At the moment we’re offering artists a 3 month free trial - after that it’s £5.99 per month. Alternatively you can sign up to pay 15% commission on all your gigs - BUT you won’t be eligible for lots of liv.LIVE perks unless you’re a subscriber.
In what ways is LivLIVE a community? liv.LIVE has grassroots music at it’s heart. We understand that up-and-coming musicians need exposure and venues want to get people through the doors so we encourage venues and artists to communicate. If you had a great time at the the venue you played last weekend - show your appreciation on their profile by ‘mic’ing’ them. Similarly, venues who enjoyed your set are encouraged to ‘mic’ you as well! We aim for interaction between the members of the LivLIVE family to be at the forefront, as we believe this results in the greatest experience for music fans!
What is a 'mic'? A 'mic' is the liv.LIVE equivalent of a 'like'. Show your appreciation for an artist or venue by simply clicking the mini liv.LIVE logo in their profile picture.
How much do I get paid per gig? That’s between you and the venue. As an artist you set your rate per hour when setting up your profile. You can also set your ‘offer price’ when applying for a gig.
How does the offer price feature work? When applying for a gig you have one pportunity to set an offer price, higher or lower than the original budget set by the host. They will either accept or reject your offer.
How do I get paid? Our online payment system is simple and easy to use. Operated by Stripe there’s all the necessary procedure in place to protect your money. We take payment from the event host upon the booking of an act. Once the event has taken place we will release the funds. We just need confirmation from the host that all ran smoothly and artists will be paid In full. Some events may be ‘Paid Offline’ based on door and bar sales. Please only accept these types of gigs if you are prepared that you may not be paid in accordance with the sum stated on your profile.
What is the ‘Pay Offline’ feature? We understand that some events are paid based on bar and door sales. That’s why we’ve introduced a new feature allowing you to pay the artist on the day of the event. We will charge a reduced booking fee when ‘Paying Offline’ for an artist.
Why do you need a scan of your passport or driving license to verify my account? We need a scan of your passport or driving license to verify your account. Once you’ve done this you will be able to send and receive payments.
Can I edit my profile? Of course, at any time. Just go into your profile and change what you will. We encourage you to have high quality media on there. In our experience, event hosts will only book if the artist has good quality pictures, songs, AND videos.
How does the rating system work? After every gig we’ll ask your host to rate you 1-5 stars, and in return we’ll ask you to rate your host.
Why use liv.LIVE? After every gig we’ll ask your host to rate you 1-5 stars, and in return we’ll ask you to rate your host.
What’s the difference between a subscriber profile and a commission profile? As a liv.LIVE subscriber you’ll be eligible for a whole host of opportunities that liv.LIVE has to offer. You’ll be able to: book gigs, festival slots, connect with promoters as well as being in the running to be picked up by our management label, eligible for licensing opportunities, get your music on global playlists and work alongside our partners on unique liv.LIVE shows - AND keep 100% of your fee, every time. On commission you’ll just be able to book the normal gigs.
What’s the liv.LIVE Management Label? We know the value of playing live and we also want to provide more than just a booking platform to our artists. It’s our aim to take artists from the bedroom to the big stage, to nurture the careers of our artists and that’s why in 2019 we’ll be signing artists to our own management label.

What happens if my artist cancels? When creating an event you can adjust the amount of slots you are looking to fill. If you get more submissions than slots, you can add artists as back-ups. Once an artist has confirmed they will be in the area and free at that time, you have yourself a fall back option, just in case!
I don’t want my event to be public Of course you don’t want the entire liv.LIVE community to know where your wedding is (we wouldn’t decline an invite if you were to throw one our way, however!). This is why we have the ‘Private Event’ button when uploading an event. We’ll charge you a flat 5% fee for this service (it’s a little extra work for us to keep you hidden).
How do I know how much an artist costs? The artist stipulates on their profile how much they require per hour as payment.

If you want to just upload one event or twenty, it’s up to you. Upload 6 months worth of gigs and watch as the artists come to you, or actively go out and find them.
Who are my ‘Saved Artists’? You can save artists that you have used before for speedy booking the next time around!
How do I know which artists to book? Once on an artist’s profile, go to the ‘Media’ section to check out videos, photos, and music from each artist. You can always check out their liv.LIVE rating, based on previous gigs, and their mics to get an indication of an artist’s popularity and talent.
